Arcare team members are the backbone of our community and we couldn’t be more thrilled to hear about their work ethic, interests and motivations. Today we sit down with Radhika Nath, Regional Support Manager who has special creative talents. See the full interview below.
What is your name and role at Arcare?
My name is Radhika Nath and I am the Regional Support Manager, Sunshine Coast and Townsville
What Arcare residence do you work at?
As a Regional Manager, I support the Arcare sites on the Sunshine Coast and Arcare North Shore in Townsville.
How long have you been working at Arcare?
What do you enjoy about your role and working in aged care?
Every day in this industry is different and I enjoy the fact that I work in collaboration with those who share Arcare’s senses framework, which underpin Arcare’s Relationship First approach.
What memorable moment or story do you recall working with either a resident or a team member?
It is difficult to identify any one particular story. Each team member or client is unique and have different stories to share. I have learnt and grown professionally and personally – from the wide range of experiences that I come across on a daily basis.
What pearls of wisdom or words of encouragement do you live by?
I love the quotes shared by Dr Seuss and one of my favourite quotes “ Sometimes you will never know the value of something, until it becomes a memory.” Dr Seuss.
These words help me realign my focus in life and appreciate what I have, today.
What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
I have a great passion for creativity. I have tried many things: acrylic painting, cake decorating, quilling (a form of paper art). I enjoy cycling around and I am currently learning to play the guitar. I also enjoy reading books on personal development and have a collection of the best sellers.
