About the Role

The Group Manager - People and Culture is responsible for providing high level professional support and advice to the CEO, the Executive and other Senior Managers on all Human Resources Management functions. You will be an active member of the Executive team responsible for the implementation of strategic objectives and priorities determined by the Board and CEO, and will contribute to the overall direction, leadership and management of the organisation.

With a whole of business and commercial mindset, you will bring a contemporary, inclusive and growth-oriented approach that engages all stakeholders. A highly accomplished change leader, you are respectful of and sensitive to the needs of others and promote a workplace culture consistent with Arcare’s values, senses framework, relationship-focused approach and policies.

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience leading the People and Culture strategy, agenda and vision for an organisation, or a major division/business unit undergoing significant challenges.
• Experience in delivering transformational change in an organisation, creating empowering environments through purpose, culture, values, engagement, diversity and inclusion.
• Lead workforce planning for a large workforce in excess of 7,000 team members
• Optimising the mix of people and technology and building new capabilities for sustainable performance and efficiency.
• Exposure to environments where the safety agenda is a key priority – good understanding of relevant legislation in Qld, NSW and Victoria to ensure risks are fully managed and controlled.
• Sound operational HR exposure, including recruitment, comprehensive on-boarding, talent development and retention, succession management, performance management, remuneration & benefits, learning/development and capability builds, and employee engagement.
• Ability to support operations to encourage good leadership of people.  Focusing on decision making, coaching on issues such as change management, communications, performance improvement and retention.
• A genuine and empathetic leadership style that embodies the values and ethos of the business and council of shareholders that delivers value for customers, team members and shareholders.
• Must be flexible to travel
• Relevant degree or post-graduate qualification preferably in Human Resource Management or equivalent
• Current Police Clearance / Statutory Declaration that does not preclude working in Aged Care
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
