For this week’s edition of #PeopleofArcare we introduce Madilyn Say, General Service Manager at Arcare’s newest residence, Arcare Thornlands. She is new to Arcare but we are looking forward to all the great things she will achieve during her time with us.

What do you enjoy about your role?

Working with my colleagues to make the facility looking its best.

This company is inviting and has a welcoming team.

What do you love about Arcare and working in Aged Care?

I get to make an impact on residents daily living.

What tips or advice would you give to someone looking to work in Aged Care?

Working in Aged Care is very much people based as residents are our priority, so make sure you have a genuine love for people.

What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love to play sport and go on walks along the waterfront, and I love going down to my local coffee shop and getting a coffee.

What is your special talent that you enjoy doing outside of work? How did you learn this talent?

I can play touch football; I learnt this talent when I was young as I started playing when I was 10.

Can you share one fun fact about yourself?

I did a homestay experience in Japan in 2018.
