Graduate Roles and Student Placements

Whether you are a fresh face to the industry or looking to do further study, we have options to help you develop a rewarding career in aged care. Arcare team members include leading authorities in aged care services and we are fortunate to have an incredible network of dedicated professionals across our residences. We welcome students and graduates and the development of expertise within the industry.

Student Placement Update

For all preferred Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Universities that partner with Arcare, please note that regular changes to student placements are imminent in the current COVID-19 environment and Arcare will respond to Department of Health directions accordingly to minimise risk to our clients and community.

Student clinical placement are permitted in all setting but restricted from providing care and being exposed to high-risk COVID and confirmed clients.  Students are restricted to one site only and need to be COVID vaccinated x 3.  If student/assessor has been at a COVID site and exposed, they should not be onsite for 7 days since exposure.

Tertiary Placement

If your enquiry relates to student placement, we work directly with our RTO partners, placing students 6 months in advance at Arcare residences. For student placement, please ask your RTO Placement Coordinator to contact Arcare Head Office on (03) 9559 9100.

Traineeships

There are exciting opportunities at Arcare for people looking to commence a Career in Aged Care.  State and Federal funding currently available means you can start working immediately and then complete your qualification over 12 months.  This means you can earn a salary from your first day.  Our Traineeships apply to different types of positions including Personal Support Worker, Lifestyle and Nursing if a leadership qualification is of interest.

Our Food Services Team have also had career opportunities available through an Apprenticeship in Certificate 111 Commercial Cookery.  If a position in Food Services sounds interesting, you could start at an entry level and grow in your career at Arcare in roles including Food Services Assistant, Café Attendant, Cooks, Chefs etc.

Graduate Program

Arcare Aged Care is commencing its inaugural Graduate Development Program in 2022.  We are collaborating with ACSA to provide a unique development opportunity for Registered Nurse graduates.  We have 14 places available in 2022 across our network in QLD, NSW and VIC.
