Position Summary

The Employee Engagement Coordinator is responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment by managing workforce planning, staff development and engagement initiatives. This role oversees roster management, leave planning and care minute targets while ensuring alignment with employee aspirations, availability and performance.

They coordinate training, upskilling and traineeship programs to support professional growth and retention. Additionally, the Employee Engagement Coordinator analyzes turnover trends, enhances onboarding and orientation experiences and builds relationships through local networking to strengthen workforce stability and engagement.


Key Work Areas

  • Roster Management-Maintain and update the master roster to ensure adequate staffing coverage while balancing operational needs and employee preferences.
  • Staff Aspirations, Availability, and Performance- Track and maintain records of employee aspirations, professional development goals, and study commitments.
  • Upskilling- Promote a culture of continuous learning by encouraging staff participation in training and upskilling initiatives.
  • Turnover- Conduct exit interviews to understand reasons for employee turnover and identify patterns or areas for improvement.
  • Staff Orientation- Foster engagement from day one by connecting new hires with existing team members.
  • Local Networking- Establish partnerships that support recruitment, traineeships, and ongoing professional development.
  • Payroll Management-Liaise with the Arcare Payroll Department on behalf of employees and management
  • Administration- Advertisements for additional staff are referred to Recruitment within 24 hours of availability

 

Selection criteria

  • Registered Nurse OR Endorsed Enrolled Nurse qualification
  • AHPRA Registration
  • NDIS Clearance (current) and Statutory Declaration that does not preclude working in Aged Care
  • Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities.
  • Aged care experience or similar.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment & Previous experience as a Trainer- Desirable
