About the Role:

As a Clinical Educator it is expected that you will actively foster a culture where employees feel supported to prioritise the development of open and respectful relationships with residents and families – regardless of their job title - and that you model, promote and reward learning in everyday interactions.

You will play a crucial role initiating and delivering a wide variety of educational activities across the workforce and support team members to deliver quality care and support to clients.  You will partner with residences to meet their learning needs and collaborate with the teams at each site to provide education and support aligned with national and state learning frameworks.  You will be able to independently plan and deliver educational activities making you an integral part of the Clinical Education team

Main Responsibilities:

• With a risk-based approach; identify learning opportunities, organize learning events and follow up on education programs
• Deliver education on a range of topics related to client care and support in accordance with learning frameworks and strategy
• Develop and follow up on training schedules for state and residence specific training programs
• Develop training resources and content as directed
• Subject Matter expert for the Clinical Care documentation system
• System administration in relation to the Learning management system
• Support the reporting of mandatory training requirements
• Model and demonstrate extensive knowledge of Arcare’s Values, Relationship-centered model of care and Senses-framework

To be successful in the role you must possess the following skills: 

• Minimum 12 months’ experience as a nurse in Aged Care
• Current AHPRA registration
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills across all levels of stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in exercising initiative in identifying learning needs and responding to learning needs
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Advanced skills in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Extensive experience in working at an advanced level in an electronic Clinical Care Documentation system

Desirable:

• Prior experience in residential Aged Care
• Pragmatic and logical in approach
• Results orientated outlook, along with the ability to operate autonomously
