As a Food Services Assistant (Catering Assistant), you will play a vital role in enhancing residents’ daily lives by supporting enjoyable and nourishing dining experiences. You’ll help create a welcoming mealtime environment while ensuring meals meet individual dietary needs.

Meal Preparation: Assist with basic food preparation such as chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning meals, and preparing simple dishes under the guidance of the Cook or Head Chef.
Meal Service: Serve meals to residents, ensuring correct meals are delivered according to dietary requirements.
Dining Room Setup: Prepare dining areas before meals, including setting tables with cutlery, plates, and glasses.
Cleaning & Dishwashing: Maintain high hygiene standards by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and cleaning kitchen and dining areas.
Resident Interaction: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, assisting with requests during mealtimes.
Food Handlers Certificate (essential)
Adaptable, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Friendly, respectful, and effective communication skills
