About the Role

This is an exciting newly created Queensland opportunity where, as the Physiotherapist Team Leader you will balance your time across 28 hrs per week clinical and 10 hrs per week management.

Working as part of the Allied Health team, the Physiotherapist team plays a crucial role in helping maintain the functional independence of our clients through the delivery of evidence based, active interventions. 

Position Summary

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing clinical and management support to a number of clinicians across Arcare sites. You will help ensure the quality of service delivery and documentation, provide support in customer relations, assist with on-boarding of new team members, assist in the delivery of ongoing rostering, training and development and support quality improvement initiatives across Arcare’s residences. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure optimal level of function and independence for all clients through appropriate assessments and treatment interventions, provided in both individual and group sessions 
  • Assess client performance in relation to physical, cognitive, psychological aspects and their environment and determine appropriate physical interventions
  • Provide suitable client-centred treatment in consultation with on-site clinical teams, residence manager and Arcare funding team 
  • Direct treatments and input into numerous other areas of the clients care plan within the AN ACC framework, including but not limited to activities of daily living, mobility and transfers, pain management, exercise therapy, oedema, arthritic joint management and skin integrity management
  • Documenting treatment planning and interventions
  • Deliver education sessions to clients participating in group classes/health education programs, staff and in-service education in areas relevant to Allied Health service provision as required 
  • Conducting regular team and 1:1 Meetings with team members
  • Provide regular site updates to Head of Allied Health 
  • Ensure site documentation quality and data accuracy
  • Supporting Residence Managers and clinicians by assisting with resident and family complaints relating to Allied Health. 
  • Provide support in resident and family relations 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or higher
  • Right to Work in Australia
